Many people ask us why our consultations are not free, and the answer is simple. When you pay a consultation fee, we are able to provide to you our legal analysis on your case based on the facts you provide to us.. The consultation fee is also about respect – the fee shows respect for the time, education, and experience we dedicate to your case during billable hours. We value both our time and yours, so charging consultation fees helps us allocate our time to the most important moments – the ones we spend with you.
But My Consultation Is Free Somewhere Else
Some family law attorneys offer free consultations, flat fees, and other “one size fits all” perks. At The Figueroa Law Group, P.A., we understand that one size rarely fits all in matters of family law. Other firms may offer free consultations to maximize their case load, with the Figueroa Law Group, PA we take a more selective approach.
While a lawyer who doesn’t charge for consultations may be constantly fielding calls to pull in the next client, you pay for our focus and expertise. We understand that the time you pay for belongs to you and you alone.
Additionally, our consultations are not meant to be our sales pitch. Instead, they are a time for us to provide clear and concise legal options and offer solutions for your unique case.
Not only do we offer our consultation fee at a discounted price, but if you end up choosing our firm, we will deduct the consultation fee from your retainer. If you do not, you will leave with valuable legal advice that may come in handy as you continue your search for an attorney.
How Much Will My Legal Fees Cost?
During your consultation, we can also give you a personalized estimate of what our services might cost in your situation. We determine our fees based on the issues presented in your case, and the time we expect to spend giving you the legal services you need.
Rest assured, we only charge what is fair for each case, and we offer strategies that help keep attorney fees from adding up.
As long as you follow our instructions, turn in your paperwork promptly, and avoid conflict with your spouse whenever possible, your case will be fair and affordable.
We accept paper checks, electronic payments, and direct deposits, as well as credit cards and cash. If you need to arrange a payment plan, we can help with that, too.
