They are not in the day to day life of the child and cannot be expected to know all the details. So things such as allergies and medicine that must be taken should be on a checklist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Plan in advance<\/strong>: you should not surprise your ex-partner with a last-minute vacation. Instead, communicate the details of a vacation well in advance and make sure that you are in agreement. In the event that you cannot agree on a vacation schedule then it can be done via the courts.<\/li>\n<li><strong>What\u2019s best of the child<\/strong>: when it comes to vacations for your child you should consider their best interests. If a child wants to go with your ex-partner on a once in a lifetime journey then don\u2019t fight it.
